Alot of posts lately about taking off the headcover (to get at cam, to tighted headbolts, etc.... Many folks are saying "take off all those 10mm bolts on top of the headcover." That's a bad thing. There's one bolt that doesn't hold the cover to the head, it holds the cover together (when the headcover comes off, so do other things- like the rockers). If you take out ALL the bolts, you'll have to put that together again.
The book specifically warns not to loosen/remove that bolt. I don't have my book right here in front of me, but I remember that the one in question doesn't look exactly like the others. It is on the right side of the headcover. I can check the book tonight if anyone needs me to.....
Sorry to stir the pot, but I'd hate to seem someone get in over their head.....
